This team is responsible for building and maintaining core portfolio management infrastructure in support of the Portfolio Management teams across the Fundamental Equity Teams. The position is for an individual who has the vision, creativity, leadership, drive and determination to define, design and help deliver the products in support of tools used globally by Portfolio and Risk Managers. We are building a sophisticated suite of tools and flexible open platform technology to support full portfolio management cycle from investable universe selection to portfolio analytics and performance analysis, and to unify the view of risk across front, middle and back office functions, helping to drive efficiency and bring transparency to performance.

 

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience working with financial services firm in a developer capacity, preferably with exposure to front office applications. The candidate needs to have a least a basic understanding of the equity markets, different instruments, and financial data.

 

We’ll trust you to:

  • Deliver high quality software solutions to front office integration challenges, by working independently within an agile team while maintaining implementation schedules
  • Partner with Business Analysts to optimize product features, UX and manage technical debt and ensure they map all the way up to corporate objectives
  • Interact with other Development functions to ensure requirements are fully understood, broken down sufficiently and estimated for correctly & consistently
  • Participate in Scrum processes (from a functional perspective) e.g. Daily Stand-up, Backlog refinements and grooming
  • Opportunity to be involved with architecture decisions as it relates to major software initiatives
  • Able to be self-motivated and driven, while working in a dynamic fast-paced environment

 

You’ll need to have:

  • A proven track record of developing front office applications for buy side firms
  • Experience writing and utilizing service oriented RESTful API services
  • Professional experience in C#/.Net framework with experience building distributed solutions and web applications
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with database systems, with knowledge of SQL Database Schema, Index, and Stored Procedures
  • Self-motivated candidate who can work as an individual contributor and collaboratively with the team
  • Experience with Agile framework and Scrum methodologies
  • A familiarity in Portfolio Construction, Performance, Attribution, and Risk as relates to building software around needs of Portfolio and Risk Managers

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately 150,000 - 190,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
