The Cloud Project Manager will be supporting a dynamic infrastructure technology organization to drive the firm’s continued IT transformation with specific focus on DevOps, Cloud platforms setup, hosting adoption and cloud migrations. The position requires a strong foundation in Technology Infrastructure, Cloud Service Providers, Platforms and related technologies and Agile Project Management. The PM will have responsibility for oversight and collaboration of tasks distributed between internal and vendor resources.  The team is seeking a self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills.

The Cloud Project Manager will play a key role in managing multiple initiatives including analysis and planning, executing, risk and issue escalation, reporting and governance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Agile development methodology and have hands on experience with Agile and PPM collaboration and workflow tools.  Must be able to handle a wide range of tasks and will be able to work well independently as well as in a fast-paced team setting.

We'll trust you to:

  • Utilize internal project management processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure projects/ programs are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations
  • Establish and champion recommended project requirements, design, and planning standards including delivery methodology such as Agile, Lean, etc. based on project needs
  • Work with project stakeholders to clearly define and manage expectations, objectives, assumptions, schedule, scope, requirements, risks, issues, performance metrics & success criteria, communication, change control, and successful implementation
  • Conduct Post-mortem/Lessons learned to measure results, ensure achievement of business outcomes, and successfully operationalize project deliverables and ensure documentation/runbooks and operational procedures are updated as required
  • Create and maintain project plans, status reporting, and all communications with project teams & stakeholders
  • Transform Project plan tasks to Jira sprint stories and perform resource capacity planning and assist with analysis for story elaboration and acceptance criteria (definition of done)
  • Identify and register as well as plan mitigation and track project risks and issues, escalate effectively as required
  • Lead cross-functional teams to high quality deliverables. Drive tough decision making, balancing business goals, technical considerations with an eye to speed to market
  • Manage partner/vendor outsourcing engagements and foster accountability for deliverables, timeline, and quality during program/project delivery
  • Anticipate, track and drive others to resolve blocking issues
  • Track and forecast spend against budget
  • Monitor and control compliance and information security requirements
  • Actively communicate with project/program stakeholders
  • Prepare and communicate information for the appropriate audience level including presentations to senior management

                          You'll need to have:

                          • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline or 5+ years equivalent work experience is required
                          • 5+ years managing full life-cycle technical projects or programs of a large and complex scale in a related industry
                          • 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure projects and cloud projects utilizing Agile project methodology
                          • Experience managing geographically distributed teams
                          • Proven track record delivering projects with vendor engagements as well as internal resources in a matrixed organization
                          • Excellent written and verbal communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical teams
                          • Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred
                          • Familiarity with Cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Azure & GCP) and migration patterns (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
                          • Experience in complete project life cycle of IT and Cloud migrations, CI\CD and DevOps projects from enterprise transformation vision to implementation and BAU support projects
                          • Experience in conducting POCs of wide range of CI\CD, DevOps tools, Infrastructure as Code, Application Performance Monitoring Tools, On-premises, Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure (Network, Firewall, DNS, Security and Secrets Management, Identity and Access Management, Cloud Cost Management, etc.)
                          • Experience working with Cloud Service Providers (AWS/ Azure/ Google Cloud)
                          • Experience building out JIRA EPICs, stories, action items, work breakdown structures, project plans, weekly and monthly status reports, etc. for various projects
                          • Experience working and collaborating with Cloud Engineering, Line of business IT, application teams and Infrastructure teams

                          We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $150,000 - $185,000. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Base salary is one component of Lazard Corporate’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
