2024 Financial Advisory Summer Analyst Program - San Francisco Technology

Summer analysts will become integral members of the San Francisco Investment Banking Technology Group, joining a small transaction team which provides financial advisory services to the firm’s clients within the Tech space.  In addition, our summer analysts participate in an on-going training program, starting with a week of training in New York.  Classes held throughout the summer teach the basic fundamentals of banking, with a specific focus on modeling and relevant analytical techniques.  The Summer Analyst program simulates a full-time role; day-to-day responsibilities could include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, participating in the development of client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients on real projects.  Assignments fall into a range of categories, including M&A, divestitures, and strategic advisory. Summer analysts are expected to spend 9 weeks at the Firm.

Qualifications

Candidates should be university students in their penultimate year and top academic performers who are willing to work in an unstructured environment, which values initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning. Academic backgrounds may vary (no background in finance or accounting is required), however candidates must be comfortable with basic financial concepts and enjoy quantitative work.
