We are looking for a Business Coordinator to join the Healthcare Group in the New York office. Healthcare bankers in the New York office work on a variety of strategic transactions for leading and emerging healthcare services, biopharma and medtech companies. The New York-based team is a key part of Lazard’s global healthcare practice and leads the coverage and execution of transactions for companies across the U.S.

The Business Coordinator will support the Healthcare Group’s internal initiatives, streamline processes, and enhance team productivity, allowing leadership and junior bankers to focus on client-facing tasks. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills.

We’ll trust you to:

• Support Healthcare Financial Advisory management in driving business planning and business strategy
• Create meaningful analysis to aid management’s strategy
• Partner with Managing Directors to drive and implement strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, client strategy, marketing, client engagement, business optimization and group culture.
• Own, implement and streamline workflows and systems to optimize business goals
• Represent the business with support functions including global COO, technology & legal/compliance
• Oversee group training for new analysts and associates, including developing training curriculums in conjunction with the team, coordinating sessions with presenters, and managing the group’s training calendar.
• Plan, schedule and manage logistics for internal events — specifically teach-ins, trainings, social outings — and external events, specifically industry conferences.

You’ll need to have:

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a strategy/business management role, with experience at a leading investment banking or other financial services firm preferred
• Ability to manage numerous projects and processes with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent organization skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong skillset in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to work with large data sets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity in written and oral form.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $85,000-100,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
