We are looking to hire a finance professional to fill the position of Junior Accountant at our London Financial Advisory office.  The successful candidate will report to the Financial / Management Accountant.

We’ll trust you to: 
•    Accounting and reconciliation of Intercompany recharges and transactions
•    Balance Sheet Reconciliations – liaise with various Finance team members and assemble control pack for quarterly review
•    Assisting in the preparation and variance analysis of the quarterly UK Consolidation and UK Board Packs
•    Preparation of weekly & monthly bank reconciliations
•    Office of National Statistics Surveys relating to Balance Sheet and Income Statement information
•    Participate in Budgeting and Forecasting
•    Assisting in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements for Lazard & Co., Holdings Limited and its UK subsidiaries, utilising IRIS accounts production software
•    Assist in accounting and reconciliation of expense accruals
•    Assistance and preparation of month end journals
•    Perform ad-hoc analysis for internal and external reporting purposes
•    Ad hoc requests and project work when required

You’ll need to have: 

•    Training for ACA/ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) with strong analytical skills
•    PC literate with extensive familiarity of Microsoft Excel, Word
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – articulate and confident, including ability to effectively liaise with various senior stakeholders within the business
•    Ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
•    Accuracy and a high attention to detail
•    A high level of self-motivation, autonomy, and initiative
•    Ability to maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct

•    Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102) and US GAAP
•    Exposure to preparation of financial statements and statutory reporting and the use of accounts production software or similar producing Annual Financial Statements
•    Experience of multi-currency accounting
•    Experience of the SAP general ledger system and Analysis for Office (AFO)
