Lazard is one of the world’s leading financial advisory and asset management firms. Our people make the difference. With just over 3,000 employees, our tight-knit community allows for professionals eager to learn and willing to teach to connect and grow together. We believe that diversity, equity, inclusion, and allyship are not just business imperatives — they are central pillars of our employee experience. Our entrepreneurial culture and flat structure allow creative ideas and original concepts to drive our business forward — and for careers to take flight.

Through our financial advisory business, Lazard advises clients around the world on strategic and financial matters including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, capital structure and capital raising. Our client relationships are built on trust and discretion. As the world’s largest advisory-focused firm, we have exceptional depth of expertise across industry sectors and geographies. We value the rich diversity that comes from blending local perspective with our global network.

Lazard’s Private Capital Advisory Group (“PCA”) is an 85+ person global team with a Secondary Advisory business as well as a placement agent business that manages the raising of capital for Private Equity, Private Credit and Real Estate firms. Our Secondary Advisory team advises on the divestiture of private fund interests and direct securities interests via GP-led transactions (single / multi-asset continuation fund, strip sale, tender offer, etc.) and LP-led transactions (sale processes of existing fund positions on behalf of institutional investors). PCA interacts primarily with institutional investors (sovereign wealth funds, public funds, corporate pension funds, foundations/endowments, financial institutions, fund of funds and asset managers). We work with all types of sponsors (buyout, growth equity, venture capital, infrastructure and real assets) and analyze portfolios across all industry verticals and advise clients on all major secondary transaction structures.

Associates on the Secondary Advisory team are required to combine investment banking skillsets (due diligence, strategic and financial advice, transaction execution) with capital markets functions (sales and distribution). Our deal teams are typically formed with 3-4 PCA professionals, comprised of an Analyst, Associate, Vice President or Director and a Managing Director. Associates work within deal teams during the preparation of a transaction (i.e., facilitating diligence with the client, drafting marketing materials such as a Confidential Information Memorandum, building financial projection model(s) and modelling returns to prospective investors, preparing the Virtual Data Room, etc.) and during the marketing and due diligence phases of the transaction (i.e., managing investor outreach process, facilitating and responding to due diligence questions and other responsibilities as part of managing the transaction process).

We’ll trust you to:

  • Analyze client financial and performance information and assisting in the group's due diligence investigations of prospective clients and companies
