We are looking for a Field Sales professional with extensive relationships in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and South Carolina to help engage new and existing clients and drive sales across the entire suite of Lazard’s investment products. You will need to be residing within this territory to be considered for this position.

 



We’ll trust you to:

  • Call on advisors across multiple channels (wirehouse and independent broker dealers)
  • Employ creative marketing and sales strategies to differentiate and push Lazard’s Mutual Funds, SMAs, and CIT’s
  • Maintain and build client relationships by providing timely information on products, capital market intelligence and above all, exceptional client service
  • Conduct a robust schedule of client-facing activities through group and one-on-one in-person meetings, virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails
  • Initiate new business through prospecting
  • Represent Lazard Asset Management at in-person and virtual events including national and regional conferences, seminars, and sales training meetings
  • Develop strong relationships with internal business partners, including assigned Internal Wholesaler and other home office stakeholders
  • Effectively manage the assigned territory by properly leveraging all available resources including but not limited to product specialists, portfolio specialists and prudent allocation of travel & entertainment budget

 

 

 

You’ll need to have:

 

  • At least 8 years of asset management wholesaling experience, and a minimum of 5 years building relationships in the Southeastern market (and currently residing within the territory).
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a pipeline of clients and converting opportunities into sales and increased market share
  • Expert understanding of Mutual Funds, SMAs, CIT’s – who uses them, how to sell them, and what matters to Advisors in order to successfully position our products
  • Ability to maintain a strong connection to the home office (particularly with your internal wholesaler) to support existing clients, cultivate pipeline, and convert opportunities
  • Series 7 and 66
  • Compelling communication and presentation skills – both in-person and virtual
  • Outstanding relationship management abilities exemplified via long-standing relationships based on trust and accountability 
  • Desire to build your own franchise and expand Lazard’s market share

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $110,000 – 140,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
