Lazard Fund Managers (Ireland) Limited is currently recruiting for an individual to support the Head of Belgium and Luxembourg based in our Belgium office, in a Marketing, Communication and Sales support role. The position requires a strong team player with a mature approach that is confident, able to prioritise, organise and commit themselves fully to the role.

 


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following duties:


Marketing

 

  • Represent marketing needs of Belgium and Luxembourg within broader Lazard Fund Managers Marketing team; liaise / coordinate with marketing team in other locations as appropriate to ensure local needs are met;
  • Organize and manage events and corporate entertainment for third-party distribution, institutional clients and prospects;
  • Assist in the preparation for client and prospect meetings, including the co-ordination of presentations and other support documentation;
  • Support client or prospect communication, queries and information requests – including sourcing information and liaising internally to obtain accurate and timely answers. May be assigned as back up client service contact for some clients;
  • Send Lazard funds information to our clients and prospects;
  • Maintain and further develop the client database with information on clients and prospects;
  • Prepare follow-up sales reports (inflows, outflows, platforms, rebates, etc) and ensure regular follow-up with clients to get accurate and detailed AUM figures;
  • Follow-up press articles and social media;
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects relating to prospecting and mapping of potential new opportunities and improving the efficiency of the operation;
  • Follow-up on local market (competitors, most successful funds in our market, new potential clients, etc).

 

General 

 

  • Maintenance of mailing lists, product information and prospect and client information in the database (Salesforce);
  • Coordinating and arranging of corporate entertainment and event management;
  • Preparing activity reports on a regular basis;
  • Extensive and proactive management of busy and changing diaries, reacting responsively to the needs of the business;
  • Manage pre-approval and logistics for all travel to client meetings and events;
  • Compile detailed itineraries (with back up documentation) for roadshows and ensure accuracy of all items;
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with other internal staff (including overseas colleagues);
  • Ensure all information (both written and verbal) is treated in a confidential and sensitive manner.

 

Key Skills and Experience:

 

  • Some experience in financial services preferable but not essential;
  • Understanding of the sales process;
  • Interest in investment matters;
  • Language skills: Fluency in Dutch, French and English
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Event management experience preferable but not essential;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Confidence with a range of computer software including Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, and client database management skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, operate at pace, meet tight deadlines, work well under pressure and have the ability to be flexible;
  • Accuracy and a high attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills, ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels;
  • Client service mindset and experience;
  • A high level of self-motivation, autonomy and initiative;
  • Must maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct;
  • Might require some occasional travel.
