Our Global Investment Risk team is looking for an experienced Equity Risk Manager. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and managing the risks associated with our equity portfolios. You will work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and other risk management professionals to ensure that our investment strategies align with our risk appetite and comply with relevant regulations.

 

 

We’ll trust you to:

 

  • Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures for equity investments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks associated with equity investment portfolios, providing timely and accurate reporting to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to develop risk-adjusted investment strategies, incorporating quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
  • Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the potential impact of market events on portfolio performance and risk exposures.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management systems, tools, and analytics to support effective decision-making and reporting.

 

 

You’ll need to have:

 

  • 5 or more years of Investment Risk Management experience focused on Equity portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of equity markets, investment products, and portfolio management concepts.
  • Technical capabilities in SQL, Python, VBA.
  • Experience with factor risk models such as MSCI Barra, Axioma or Northfield. Factset and Bloomberg experience preferred. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information to various audiences.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, FRM) preferred.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately 150,000 - 200,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
