M&A Intern - Madrid - January 2023

Madrid
Financial Advisory
Off-cycle Internship

At Lazard,

You can enjoy a genuinely different experience. Our entrepreneurial, non-hierarchical environment is such that individuality and original thinking are highly prized.

Working with us provides all the opportunity and excitement of working for a global institution, but with the intimacy of a relatively small firm.

What can you expect?

During your internship, you will experience the Analyst role by being an integral part of a dynamic team of talented professionals and gain a better understanding of the nature and culture of our firm.
Small deal teams allow for increased accountability, responsibility and visibility. From day one, you will be working with senior bankers and clients on complex and transformational financial transactions.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects across various industries and be involved in tasks such as market research, preparation of client presentations, valuation analyses and assist in the execution process of deals. You will be highly visible, which affords you the opportunity to show what you can do. We will challenge you to be your best because we view you as a future leader of the firm.

At Lazard, the individual matters.

We look forward to meeting with highly motivated candidates in the final stages of their studies or recently graduated, with:

  • Top academic performance in Economics, Finance or a related discipline
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Global perspective
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
  • Affinity for teamwork
  • Energy, commitment and enthusiasm
  • Commercial and creative talent
  • Previous experience in corporate finance, appreciated but not a requirement

Target start date: January 2023
